Why Studying Abroad is Important for your Student Profile?
Not that you need any specific reason to study abroad, but, there’s no denying that studying overseas changes your life and career immensely and, for the better. We know that making up your mind about studying abroad is already a tough decision to make and it takes a lot of hard work too, but, if you realize all the advantages an international degree can give you, then you’d surely want to give it a go.
Set on a global endeavor
Shakespeare once introduced us to an expression, “the world’s mine oyster”, also rephrased as ‘the world is yours to venture’. You can begin this venture in next to no time and all you need to do is take that first step to study overseas.
An international study prospect
By studying abroad, you get to experience the global education perspective. You’ll be exposed to a foreign education system that will probably have a more advanced approach and will give you numerous opportunities to grow.
Increase your employability value
Soon as you join an international higher education program, many remarkable opportunities become accessible to you. And one such factor is your employability value. More employers around the world seek students who are international graduates. So if you do fly overseas, you’ll always have something to gain.
Find yourself-become independent
Studying in a new country with students from across the world an exciting experience, but it is also an opportunity where you can prove yourself to the world. By living across the seven seas, you can excel in what you’re good at.
Get global expertise in your education field
When you have made your mind to study abroad, then why not go where you’re actually benefitted most. For example, if you are from a science background and want to pursue engineering in physics, then you should go to the USA, the UK or Australia. You should study at a university which has more focus in your program field. This will enhance your options and you can even apply for further education at the same university or college.
Experience different cultures
No matter which country you go to, you’ll always get to experience a different culture. In the few years of your stay in your chosen country, try to immerse in their culture and live like a local. From learning the local language to trying their local food, you can also enjoy the different cultures by visiting historical places and monuments or learning more about that country’s history.

Top tips to score high in your upcoming IELTS Reading Test
Reading is
considered the most scoring among all four IELTS test components; it's scoring,
not easy!
How to score higher in IELTS reading?
Develop reading speed- To be able to score at least a 7 in
the IELTS Reading test, candidates
should be able to understand the meaning of a passage without entirely reading
it. Of the 60 minutes assigned in the test, you develop a strategy to read one
passage in 5-7 minutes, so you can quickly extract the accurate central idea
from the text and finish the entire part of the test in 20 minutes.
Don’t
read everything- You must also practice IELTS
reading skills and strategies such as skimming, scanning so you can save your
time and quickly skim and scan the main ideas and keywords like, a name, or a
date etc. So while practising IELTS sample papers, you must first quickly skim the
passage, and then extract the main theme by scanning keywords. Remember, as you
scan the text underline all the keywords which you think are important and are
related to reading questions.
Follow
all instructions- Another extremely important
factor is to make sure that you read all the instructions over the question
before answering. Don’t forget to read what’s asked in the question, and then start
skimming for answers. If you won’t answer the question as asked, you may lose
scores for not following the instructions.
Reread
your answers- When you write your answers make sure
spare 5 minutes to re-read each one of them before finally submitting the test.
While rechecking your answers you must look for any possible grammatical
mistakes or spelling errors. You should check that you have answered all
questions properly and as required.
Attempt all questions – IELTS has no negative marking for
wrong answers, so even if you are unsure and think you do not know the answer
to a question, you should still attempt it. First, answer the questions you
know and at the end attempt all the questions you may have left. At times a guessed
answer can also be correct.

How to find student accommodation in Canada?
Are you ready to begin your overseas education in Canada? Studying abroad is not only just about getting into a college and starting your studies right away. You must always wonder what it is like to study in Canada for Indian students. There’re many aspects of studying abroad that you have to keep in your mind, for example, student visa, work rights and accommodation. Finding the right student accommodation is one of the crucial aspects of studying abroad. The area you live in can have a greater impact on your mental well-being and, as an international student, you should always choose to live in an environment that is progressive. Your choice of accommodation matters most as you'll be far apart from your home. So here’re some steps you need to follow when trying to find student accommodation in Canada.
Check student accommodations online before you depart for Canada: You can check the official website of your university and see whether there are any on-campus or off-campus residence options available.
Search option post your arrival in Canada: Once you’ve obtained your study permit, you can enter Canada a month prior to the date when your course begins. You can utilise this time to get familiar with the surroundings and look for a residence option that suits you.
If you are confused about finalising accommodation from home, you can come prepared with a list of options ready to explore when you reach Canada and make a final decision after you've reached the country.
It is suggested that you choose a place which is near to your campus, especially if you are on a budget. This will help you save some additional cost of studying in Canada- such as transportation, utilities, food, water and electricity etc.
Here’re some options you can consider if you want accommodation near campus:
• Dormitories or Hostels
• On-campus student townhouses
• Rental apartment near campus
• Homestay with a local family
Safety recommendations for international students
• International students who opt to live outside of campus residence or by themselves should:
• Choose residence in a safe neighbourhood.
• Ensure that you live close to a hospital, shopping complex, restaurants etc.
• Don’t sign any lease from your home country.
• Read the terms of any contract you make with a broker. Ensure that you have access to basic amenities like Wi-Fi, electricity, water etc. added to your contract.

Why IELTS is a better option as an English Language test?
If you are planning to find career opportunities overseas, mainly in English native countries, you will most likely need to take an English proficiency test. And in this blog, we’ll present you with seven strong reasons on why you should take IELTS, the International English Language Testing System, than any other test.
1. Global Recognition
Global is not a word we usually used for tests, but for IELTS it comes naturally. IELTS is accepted by over 10,000 organisations around the globe. The test is used for various purposes, including study, work and even migration.
These organisations include schools, universities, colleges, employers and government agencies and are widespread in over 140 countries globally.
2. Available everywhere
IELTS English exam is also popular among peers because it is available in test centres around the world. Co-owned by IDP, British Council and Cambridge Assessment English, there’s a test date available each month, you can select your IELTS date as per your convenience.
3. A test for everyone
Whether you are a non-native speaker or a native speaker, if you need to prove your English language capability, you can easily take the test without a hassle.
4. Choose IELTS as per your needs
IELTS is the only language proficiency exam which gives you a preference to choose. You can decide upon the IELTS Academic Training and IELTS General test as per your requirement and goals.
Also, IELTS give you an option to choose between the paper-based test and computer-delivered. The Computer-Delivered IELTS is the same IELTS test which is taken around the globe, only with faster results and the reading, writing and listening components are taken on a Computer.
Know more about Computer-Delivered IELTS test here: https://www.idp.com/india/ielts/computer-delivered-test-centres/
5. Improve your English language
The IELTS exam assesses test-takers’ English Reading, Writing, Listening and Speaking abilities and how you use them for daily purposes. The test is designed to reflect how you will use the language when you have started your new life in an English speaking surrounding.
6. Fair test: Assured!
One thing is for sure with IELTS that they make every possible effort to keep the test fair. IELTS takes strict measures to ensure fair assessment for all candidates. The test-takers have to provide their passport as the identification proof to affirm an entry to the test.
7. Secure Results
IELTS exam results are disclosed in a Test Report Form (TRF) which carries your separate IELTS scores for all four skills, i.e., listening, reading, writing and speaking, and your overall band score.
To prevent duplicity and fraudulent, candidates are given an only copy of the Test Report Form and no further replacements can be issued. However, if you request and pay some extra fee, you can ask IELTS to share your result with any five organisations of your choice (around the globe).
