How to budget when you study in UK?

One of the most challenging obstacles in pursuing an overseas education is the finance. Often, the expenses involved scare away promising students from pursuing higher education in a foreign country but in this article, an attempt has been made to provide some easy tips which will help you to lead a balanced life when you are studying in UK.

1.      The best place to begin will be with pen and paper or an excel spreadsheet and create a list where you have included all possible expenses you will incur in a week and all the expenses you will incur in your own country. Include everything even if it is a pin.

Some of the most common day-to-day things you might need are:

·         Food

·         Clothing

·         Contact Lenses

·         Medication

·         Hair cut

·         Dry Cleaning

If you have any specific requirement, then you should add it to the list as well.

2.      Now the list has been made, it is the time to sum up so add up the list and see if you can meet the budget you had in mind.

3.      Now that you have an approximate in front of you, you can decide which ones to keep and which ones you should discard. Some tips for reducing the figure are:

·         Go for the online versions of newspapers and magazines. It will save not just the money but also the environment.

·         This tip is one for men. Check up the YouTube videos and use clippers.

If you are a party animal then you should check out the student places. These places offer amazing offers to students and are easy on pockets.

These tips might sound simple but in the long run will help you to cut down your budget and leave something extra at the end.
