Eligibility Criteria for Admission into Australian Universities

In USA, if one has to pursue a postgraduate degree then the person needs to have a four year degree undergraduate program which is quite problematic for those students who belong to a country where three year undergraduate system is followed. But in Australia, there is no such problem regarding this because they accept the three year undergraduate system for the students who want to pursue a postgraduate degree in Australia. For example, an Indian degree such BA, BBA is equivalent to any ordinary Australian Degree.

But the problem arrives when some courses require an honours degree to pursue a post graduate degree but in the western system like USA, the honours degree consists of four years or 16 years of schooling. For example, a course like B.Tech is valid because it is four year degree program.

The students who have completed their under graduation from prestigious Indian Universities are usually preferred by the Australian universities but it is not a cause to fret about because at the end of the day, your hard work and determination will show through and irrespective of the university, you will be selected.

Academic Requirements

You will require your class X, XII and undergraduate marks and grades to show that you eligible for a certain course. The documents needed to be self-attested as well as by the concerned authorities.

Admission Tests

Usually there are no entrance tests but they might require some tests such as IELTS. These tests judge the proficiency skills of the applicant and decide whether to approve the application or not.
